These classification came about because some instructors did not want TAs to grade course work or because they had undergraduate TAs that are not allowed to see their fellow undergraduate’s’ grades (TA Non-Grading). Other instructors did not want TAs to be able to edit assignments or quizzes or pages within their course, only grade the assignments (TA Grading Only).
If you could stop time and inexpensively bring together all of the people in your organization who need to learn and the resources to teach them, you would not need eLearning. In the real world, people have jobs to do and budgets are limited. Your learning program will need the power of technology to overcome the limitations of time, distance and resources.
Each of these numerous terms has had its advocates, who point up potential distinctive features. However, many terms and concepts in educational technology have been defined nebulously; for example, Fiedler’s review of the literature found a complete lack agreement of the components of a personal learning environment. Moreover, Moore saw these terminologies as emphasizing particular features such as digitization approaches, components or delivery methods rather than being fundamentally dissimilar in concept or principle. For example, m-learning emphasizes mobility, which allows for altered timing, location, accessibility and context of learning; nevertheless, its purpose and conceptual principles are those of educational technology.

Some have noted that current e-learning models are moving towards applying a constructivism learning theory that emphasizes a learner-centered environment and postulates that everyone has the ability to construct their own knowledge and meaning through a process of problem solving and discovery. However, some principles of constructivism may not be appropriate for ADHD learners; these principles include active learning, self-monitoring, motivation, and strong focus.

A look at the advantages, disadvantages, and underlying purpose of social media in the classroom. When hosting an online course, it makes sense to make the best use of all the resources the Internet has to Social media is among the most prominent of these resources , and there’s a strong temptation for many online educators to find creative ways to use it in their course. There’s nothing wrong with that, so long as it has a purpose.
It’s very exciting to learn about and invest in the latest trends in educational technology. Who among us hasn’t been swept up by the allure of gamification , the promise of curation , and a desire to embed microlearning at every conceivable moment of learning need? No matter how enticing these new ideas might be, we are always (rightly) concerned about adoption. MORE

The only reason to limit someone to a section is if you are purposely trying to make sure that person only sees certain students in the course and not others, for example, if you want a TA to only be able to grade specific students. In that case, you’d have to manually create a section, put the students and the TA in it and limit the TA to the section. Students would be in their registrar section AND in the section you created. You would also need to enroll the TA to the INIT section and limit to that section as well, or you won’t be able to communicate with that TA!
