E-learning is increasingly being utilized by students who may not want to go to traditional brick and mortar schools due to severe allergies or other medical issues, fear of school violence and school bullying and students whose parents would like to homeschool but do not feel qualified. Online schools create a haven for students to receive a quality education while almost completely avoiding these common problems. Online charter schools also often are not limited by location, income level or class size in the way brick and mortar charter schools are.

Virtual education in K-12 schooling often refers to virtual schools, and in higher education to virtual universities. Virtual schools are “cybercharter schools” with innovative administrative models and course delivery technology.
At PSC, students enrolled in math, writing emphasis, beginning physics, or beginning chemistry courses may connect with a tutor in a fully interactive, online environment. Virtual tutors have access to textbooks used in PSC classes, enabling students to ask questions related to homework assignments and other class requirements. If homework is not from a textbook, the student may speak, email, or chat their question to the virtual After receiving a question, the tutor will work through the problem, prompting the student to answer questions and interact throughout the process. Canvas does consider these requests. They install an update every three weeks, with many of the changes being ideas from the Feature Requests and the Canvas Community, but there are no guarantees regarding which features Canvas will implement or when.

The display of quiz statistics currently has a limit of 10,000 data points. After the 10,000 mark, the quiz statistics display will not load. For example, if you have a course with 300 students and they are taking an exam with 50 questions, that is 15,000 data points. You will not be able to view the quiz statistics in the browser, though you can still download the excel spreadsheet. We have also found that if you are close to that 10,000 point threshold (e.g. over 9,000), quiz statistics may intermittently not load.
