On Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. CST, UNI users will be unable to log into the UNI eLearning (Blackboard Learn) System while maintenance is performed to patch multiple production infrastructure databases and application services that are responsible for CatID services.
Sometimes you may need to edit the date of an event or assignment in your course. This can be done easily in the Calendar by either clicking on the item and editing the date or by dragging and dropping the item to a new date. Be aware, though, that if you delete an event or assignment from your Calendar, it also completely deletes that associated content from your course. Be careful that you don’t accidentally delete important items (like quizzes or assignments).

Effective technology use deploys multiple evidence-based strategies concurrently (e.g. adaptive content, frequent testing, immediate feedback, etc.), as do effective teachers. Using computers or other forms of technology can give students practice on core content and skills while the teacher can work with others, conduct assessments, or perform other tasks. Through the use of educational technology, education is able to be individualized for each student allowing for better differentiation and allowing students to work for mastery at their own pace.
Virtual classroom learning and microlearning have become commonplace in corporate training. Both options adapt beautifully to the modern classroom , which strives for adaptability, flexibility, and accessibility. At face-value, though, the connection between this EdTech option and this design model seems ambiguous at best. As training professionals, we do our best to keep up with current trends in the field.

Educational technologists and psychologists apply basic educational and psychological research into an evidence-based applied science (or a technology) of learning or instruction. In research, these professions typically require a graduate degree (Master’s, Doctorate, Ph.D., or D.Phil.) in a field related to educational psychology, educational media, experimental psychology, cognitive psychology or, more purely, in the fields of educational, instructional or human performance technology or instructional design. In industry, educational technology is utilized to train students and employees by a wide range of learning and communication practitioners, including instructional designers, technical trainers, technical communication and professional communication specialists, technical writers, and of course primary school and college teachers of all levels.
