For example, you have a quiz that you want worth 50 points.  You want to give your students a bonus question that will be graded automatically by canvas and is worth 2 points.  You add that bonus quiz question.  Now the quiz is worth 52 points.  When all the students have taken the quiz, edit the quiz again and set the bonus question to 0 points.  Now the quiz will be worth 50 points and any bonus points earned are still calculated (in effect a student could make 52 out of 50 on the quiz).

All of us have experienced dry, boring, painful eLearning. My answer, or at least part of it, is that eLearning designers and developers have very few good examples to reference. can all be mimicked in eLearning very directly and built as part of a story or an environment.

Even if the system creates the rosters automatically you will not receive an email letting you know that the roster has been created until the LSS Staff member manually sends the email. This happens only during regular business hours.

You will be added to the course manually by us so you will not have access until this is done, but the Instructor will have access immediately once the course is created and they can add you at that time.

It is conceivable that someone at UTD is monitoring every logged-in account (in a lab, VPN, or CometNet) and checking for any network traffic to do-my-homework.com, but I’ve never heard of it. It would probably also result in extensive legal actions (since UTD is run by the state there would be 4th amendment concerns), which I’ve never heard of.

In 1971, Ivan Illich published a hugely influential book called, Deschooling Society, in which he envisioned “learning webs” as a model for people to network the learning they needed. The 1970s and 1980s saw notable contributions in computer-based learning by Murray Turoff and Starr Roxanne Hiltz at the New Jersey Institute of Technology[31] as well as developments at the University of Guelph in Canada.[32] In the UK, the Council for Educational Technology supported the use of educational technology, in particular administering the government’s National Development Programme in Computer Aided Learning[33] (1973–77) and the Microelectronics Education Programme (1980–86).
