In combination with audio and video, the educator can mimic the one-on-one experience of the classroom. Learners have an ability to pause and rewind, to review at their own pace, something a classroom cannot always offer.

A common eLearning question is “Where did the course menu go?” also sometimes asked as “I don’t see any content in the course.” A “feature” of Blackboard 9.1 is that it is responsive to your screen size and so will automatically hide the course menu if you don’t have enough room on the screen. Unfortunately this means that you have to unhide it each time you want to get to the left-hand menu.

Users have reported getting an error when attempting to log into UTD’s Qualtrics site. We’ve confirmed with Qualtrics that they are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Qualtrics Support says… More that data collection is not affected by the issue, so any open surveys are able to collect responses. The outage affects users attempting to log into the system. Thank you for your patience.

A five-hour extended maintenance outage has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 12, from 1-6am (early morning) to perform emergency maintenance on our eLearning environment. During this time, eLearning will be UNAVAILABLE. If you have any questions, please contact eLearning@utdallas.edu.

This weekend from 11pm March 2nd until 3pm March 3rd, Blackboard will replace hardware at on one of its data centers. eLearning users may experience service interruptions to publisher tools (Partner Cloud) during this time. There are many services available via myUFL such as travel and expense functions, time reporting, direct deposit and emergency contact information, and the student online payment system. The students can avail this service by accessing the portal.

To graduate, students must complete courses that involve substantial writing for a total of 24,000 words. All sections of qualified courses may not offer substantial writing in a particular term. Courses that count toward this requirement will be in one of three categories:
