A common eLearning question is “Where did the course menu go?” also sometimes asked as “I don’t see any content in the course.” A “feature” of Blackboard 9.1 is that it is responsive to your screen size and so will automatically hide the course menu if you don’t have enough room on the screen. Unfortunately this means that you have to unhide it each time you want to get to the left-hand menu.

CBTs provide learning stimulus beyond traditional learning methodology from textbook, manual, or classroom-based instruction. CBTs can be a good alternative to printed learning materials since rich media, including videos or animations, can be embedded to enhance the learning.

Users have reported getting an error when attempting to log into UTD’s Qualtrics site. We’ve confirmed with Qualtrics that they are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Qualtrics Support says… More that data collection is not affected by the issue, so any open surveys are able to collect responses. The outage affects users attempting to log into the system. It is recommended that if you want to let students see their quiz responses after taking the quiz, you wait to check the box that says “Let Students See Their Quiz Responses” until all quizzes are taken. However, if you leave this box checked, students will see the quiz questions and responses even after the semester ends.

The instructor may not have activated your course in eLearning. To check the status of your course, access the My Classes app in MyUWF. Then, click the “Details” button next to the course you would like to check. If the course has not yet been activated, the course will show “Not an eLearning course”:

  1. For a while now there has been ‘chat’ about social learning as an approach to workplace L&D. There’s also a suspicion that woven into this catchphrase was some expectation around social platforms, social media and the like – and perhaps an unspoken assumption that it offers a cheap solution to the training challenge.
