In order to access library resources from off campus, you’ll need to be sure you are logged in using your Argonet username and password (the same one you use for eLearning and your UWF email). You can double check to see if you are logged in by looking at the Access tab on the Libraries homepage.

A common problem at the beginning of a term is that instructors/TAs/Facilitators notify us that they cannot see the students in their course.  This is often because whoever enrolled them chose “limit to section” during the enrollment process. They are appropriately enrolled in the INIT section, but then limited to that section.  Typically only teacher-type roles are the INIT section so the students in the registrar sections are off-limits to the person who is limited to the INIT section.

According to a 2008 study conducted by the U.S Department of Education, during the 2006–2007 academic year about 66% of postsecondary public and private schools participating in student financial aid programs offered some distance learning courses; records show 77% of enrollment in for-credit courses with an online component.[citation needed] In 2008, the Council of Europe passed a statement endorsing e-learning’s potential to drive equality and education improvements across the EU.[39]

If this is a Development Course for future semesters, once you are ready for the course to be changed for the correct semester, send an email to bwood@ufl.edu asking that the course be changed and include the correct section numbers for the term the course will be used in. The title of the course will be changed to the normal course naming convention which is ABC1234: 1821, Summer 2013 and the section numbers will be verified and then added to the course. You will receive an email once the change has been made.

On Saturday March 17, 2018 from 10 AM to 4 PM CDT, the Turnitin Application in eLearning (Blackboard Learn) will be unavailable to UNI users while maintenance is performed.  This maintenance will include several hardware updates and performance improvements.

What is a Proctored Exam?A proctored exam is one that is overseen by an impartial individual (called a proctor) who monitors or supervises a student while heor she is taking an exam. The proctor ensures the security and integrity of the exam process.How do I know if I need a proctored exam?Check your course syllabus as soon as you can access your online course. The need to take proctored exams and your exam datesshould be contained there. If the instructor requires no exams, that should be clearly stated. If you cannot make a determination fromthe syllabus, contact your instructor immediately for an answer.Proctored Exam Options:At UWF you have four choices for completing proctored exams: 1)Come to campus;2)Utilize the UWF Testing Center;3)UseProctorU online;4)Find an approved proctor.Come to campus:1) Your instructor may establish a specific campus classroom, date and time for you to come to UWF and complete your exam withyour instructor. This weekend, Blackboard will perform scheduled datacenter infrastructure maintenance to replace hardware which will reach end-of-life in March 2018. This maintenance will take place between 11pm January 19 (Friday night) and 3am January 20 (early Saturday morning). Blackboard anticipates no interruption in service as a result of this work; however, they cannot entirely rule out brief periods of intermittent connectivity.
