UWF’s online courses are made available through eLearning, which is hosted by Desire2Learn, one of the leaders in the online learning field. eLearning is widely used by UWF instructors to hold fully online courses and to supplement traditional courses with online content.
This is form is NOT USED because you are uncertain of your section numbers. If your section is listed as DEPT., that means the section is assigned by your department. If you do not have the section numbers, please check with the person in your department that takes care of courses and sections. Students will not be loaded into your course without section numbers.

Practitioners such as Harasim (1995) put heavy emphasis on the use of learning networks.
The University of Florida (UF) provides e-Learning for the benefit of the students and for the instructors in the core missions of teaching and learning, research, and extension by researching, adopting, and supporting campus-wide, Internet-based systems. This is the most effective learning process for the students provided by the University of Florida. The University of Florida provides few e-learning tips to the students who enrol in the course. The most recent update to eLearning has introduced a bug which can potentially display incorrect due dates in the Daily Notification email update students receive nightly, as well as in the “To Do” and “What’s… More New” modules in the My eLearning tab. Turnitin has scheduled a maintenance outage for this Saturday, March 17th, from 10am through 4pm. This time will be used for hardware updates and performance improvements. Users will be unable to submit and grade during this maintenance window, so Turnitin recommends that any submission deadlines be adjusted to fall outside this maintenance window.
Summative assessments are more common in classrooms and are usually set up to be more easily graded, as they take the form of tests or projects with specific grading schemes. One huge benefit to tech-based testing is the option to give students immediate feedback on their answers. When students get these responses, they are able to know how they are doing in the class which can help push them to improve or give them confidence that they are doing well. Technology also allows for different kinds of summative assessment, such as digital presentations, videos, or anything else the teacher/students may come up with, which allows different learners to show what they learned more effectively. Teachers can also use technology to post graded assessments online for students to have a better idea of what a good project is.
The Course Reserves link in Canvas automatically creates a course in Ares after the activation. If the students has a previous course and have listings in Ares then that need to be transfered to a new course shell, or if you experience any other problems, contact the Course Reserves Unit.
The course announcements are done through emails. The UF e-learning provides instructions on how to copy on emails and announcements. The students can messaged from their gradebook. Students may feel uncomfortable receiving an email with that subject line. The messages are sent to the students individually.
