What is a Proctored Exam?A proctored exam is one that is overseen by an impartial individual (called a proctor) who monitors or supervises a student while heor she is taking an exam. The proctor ensures the security and integrity of the exam process.How do I know if I need a proctored exam?Check your course syllabus as soon as you can access your online course. The need to take proctored exams and your exam datesshould be contained there. If the instructor requires no exams, that should be clearly stated. If you cannot make a determination fromthe syllabus, contact your instructor immediately for an answer.Proctored Exam Options:At UWF you have four choices for completing proctored exams: 1)Come to campus;2)Utilize the UWF Testing Center;3)UseProctorU online;4)Find an approved proctor.Come to campus:1) Your instructor may establish a specific campus classroom, date and time for you to come to UWF and complete your exam withyour instructor. This information should be conveyed to you clearly and well before the exam date.2) Additionally, your instructor may approve the use of the UWF Testing Center. Computer-based training (CBT) refers to self-paced learning activities delivered on a computer or handheld device such as a tablet or smartphone. CBT initially delivered content via CD-ROM, and typically presented content linearly, much like reading an online book or manual.
